Forging ahead at Qualicut Engineering
15th October 2018
Just over a year ago Christine Bardsley was informed that her current accountant was selling up and that she would need to find a new accountant, they made a recommendation, but Christine felt this was the ideal opportunity to look around and see what the alternatives were.
Christine explained “I asked around and took a look on the internet and ultimately had about fifteen names of local accountants I would contact.
The level of response was surprising some were quite aloof, others very formal and some didn’t even return my call! James Scott on the other hand immediately invited me to their offices for a no obligation meeting to establish if they could help.”
Christine explained “Right from the start I liked their attitude…they were friendly, straightforward and professional.
They asked lots of relevant questions and I could tell they were genuinely interested in helping me make the right decisions. One of their first suggestions was that we should consider moving to Xero accounting software, because this would not only be a much easier for us to use, but it would mean that James Scott could log in at any time and help with any problems we have. It’s like have your accountant in the next office! They also explained that the Government is Making Tax Digital next year and if we use Xero we will already be geared up to deal with this change.
Qualicut Engineering has had a very busy year and we have needed to be able to focus on our operations and providing excellent customer service. Working with James Scott Accountants has meant that our accounts and payroll functions are two areas we don’t need to worry about and when we do need help, we know all the team at James Scott Accountants will be very friendly and approachable.”
